2024 NFL Draft Database Preview

The following picture is a preview of what the spreadsheet looks like. This is the top of the wide receiver tab.

NFL Prospect Database Features

The “Overall” tab is the best way to see all players included in the spreadsheet.

This tab has all 3625 players, but limited information. Each player will have:

  • Position
  • Positional ranking
  • College
  • Division of football

For the top 1500 players (per my personal evaluation), they will also have an overall ranking and rating.

There is a tab for each primary position in the draft. Every player is given a positional ranking, unless they have 100% confirmed to be medically retired. Positions are separated as follows, including varying numbers of players:

  • 129 Quarterbacks
  • 489 Wide Receivers
  • 223 Running Backs
  • 63 Fullbacks
  • 160 Tight Ends
  • 156 Offensive Tackles
  • 314 Guards
  • 121 Centers
  • 318 Interior Defensive Linemen
  • 306 Edge Rushers
  • 371 Linebackers
  • 352 Safeties
  • 371 Cornerbacks
  • 105 Kickers
  • 87 Punters
  • 59 Long Snappers

Each tab will include:

  • College
  • Year of college (4th, 5th, etc.)
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Stats*
  • All-Conference Accolades**
  • Athletic Measurables***
  • Combine Invite Status
  • Previous Schools Played For
  • Postseason All-Star Game Invite Status
  • Watchlists

*For most positions, 3 years of standard stats are provided. Varies by position.

**Accolades are for 2022 season only

***Combine numbers will be black text. Pro day numbers will be a shade of gray.

2023-2024 All-Conference Accolades for every division 1 conference, including both the FBS and FCS.

This tab also includes All-Americans at the FBS, FCS, D2, D3, and NAIA levels. FBS All-Americans are decided cumulatively using a point system, as there are multiple organizations who officially select All-Americans.

2022-2023 All-Conference Accolades were also added from last year’s database, for reference.

Contains all public data from the 2017-2024 NFL Combines. Multiple years are included for great context when comparing players.

You’ll find the following data for each player:

  • Official height* and weight
  • Hand size
  • Arm length
  • 40 yard dash time
  • 10 yard split
  • Bench reps (225 pounds)
  • Vertical Leap
  • Broad Jump
  • 3 cone drill
  • 20 yard shuttle (5-10-5)
  • Workout Grade**

*Height is denoted in NFL’s 4 number evaluation style. A prospect who is 6’1 1/8″ is labeled as 6011. The first number is feet, the middle two numbers is inches, and the final number is how many eighths of inches.

**Workout grade is by opinion of how prospects performed in the on-field workout portion of the combine.

You will also notice a lot of colors on this sheet.

Colors represent the percentile of the athletic measurable within the position group (since 2017).

Dark green indicates the player is in the top 10% in that metric since 2017.

Light green indicates top 33%.

Light red indicates bottom 33%.

Dark red indicates bottom 10%.

Generally you want as little red as possible.

Also includes 2024 CFL Combine results.

Pro Day data has been compiled for 2050+ players.

There is a lot of inflated measurables that get shared online, so it takes a lot of time to find NFL-verified numbers. For some smaller schools, pro day data can be very hard to come across. There are likely still plenty of players missed.

Each prospect includes:

  • Height and weight
  • Hand size
  • Arm length
  • Wingspan
  • 40 yard dash time
  • Bench reps (225 pounds)
  • Vertical Leap
  • Broad Jump
  • 3 Cone Drill
  • 20 yard shuttle (5-10-5)
  • Age for some prospects

It can be helpful information to know how good a prospect’s team was, or how good their competition was.

This tab includes computer-generated power rankings for every division of college football: FBS, FCS, D2, D3, NAIA.

These rankings were generated by versussportssimulator.com.

This tab also includes conference rankings.

Conference rankings are opinionated based on the average CPU rating, W-L record, and top teams.

The trends tab will show you how many players have been drafted at each position since 2012. Along with total by position, it breaks it down by round:
  • Round 1
  • Round 2
  • Round 3
  • Round 4
  • Round 5-7
  • Total
It also highlights the average selected by round, along with the max and min. This will help you make more realistic mock drafts. Below is a preview of the quarterbacks. QB Draft Trends Preview
Two simple tabs are also included with draft needs and current draft order. Draft order is self-explanatory, including all 7 rounds. Needs are determined from a large number of sources. Each team has Must-Haves and Partial Needs listed. For each team, the need at a given position is rated 1-10. 10 is a big need, 1 is not a need at all.

A list of all players who participated in one of the invitational postseason All-Star Games.

Including:

  • Senior Bowl
  • East-West Shrine Game
  • Hula Bowl
  • Tropical Bowl
  • FCS Bowl
  • HBCU Legacy Bowl

Note: The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl was discontinued starting this year.

A complete 7 round mock draft, filled with realistic trades throughout.

Team needs carefully considered.
