Ben Sinnott has finally started to get the respect he deserves, but he’s still one of the more underrated tight end prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft. Read on for a first look at BNB Football’s Ben Sinnott scouting report.
Prospect: Ben Sinnott
School: Kansas State
Position: Tight End
Height: 6’4″
Weight: 245
Class: Junior (4th Year)
Ben Sinnott NFL Draft Profile Overview
Ben Sinnott began his career as an undersized walk-on fullback, having played in high school for Columbus Catholic High School in Waterloo, Iowa. Sinnott played just about every sport in high school, with a hockey background where he really learned his love of hitting people.
Despite being only 205 pounds when he arrived at Kansas State in 2020, Sinnott used his redshirt year to quickly add strength and work his way into meaningful snaps as a redshirt freshman the next year.
Last season in 2022, Sinnott moved from being a hybrid fullback/tight end into a full time tight end. When you look at his now bulked-up 6’4″ 245 pound frame, he’ll look like a traditional Y-tight end. But Sinnott has a lot more in his game than just being an inline blocker.
Sinnott first caught my attention in 2022 during K-State’s upset win against #6 Oklahoma. He led his team in receiving yards, carried 5 defenders at a time, and showed solid run blocking strength.
From there, I kept my eyes on almost every game he played. Sinnott was impressive enough in 2022 to grab the eyes of opposing coaches too, as he eventually earned 1st Team All Conference for the season despite being a no name player entering the year.
In 2023, Sinnott picked up right where he left off.
You’ll see really smooth hands, leaping ability, body control, and significantly better blocking than the average tight end. He also has a very strong frame and knows how to use it.
While he’s a good athlete, he doesn’t have the same fluidity as you’ve seen from recent top tight end prospects such as Dalton Kincaid, but he’s still able to consistently get open regardless of where he’s lined up.

Draft Projection
Late 2nd – Early 3rd Round
Outside of Brock Bowers, the tight end class looks fairly weak. Sinnott likely won’t be a blazer at the NFL Combine, but he’ll still have plenty of opportunities to prove he’s one of the top 3 tight ends in the NFL Draft class.
