Who is the fastest defensive tackle in the 2022 NFL Draft?
The defensive tackle class this year was perhaps the fastest ever, led by Tariqious Tisdale who ran a 4.64 second 40 yard dash at his pro day.
We have verified 40 yard dash times from 161 interior defensive linemen in the 2022 class, including athletes from every level of college football.
As with every other position, a few notable d-linemen didn’t run a 40 yard dash at either the combine or their pro day. These players will not be considered in this article, most notably Phidarian Mathis. He wasn’t expected to make this list regardless.
This list includes combine results and all pro day results from the 2022 cycle.

The chart above shows all the interior defensive linemen in the class. The most well known d-linemen are depicted by their school’s logo, including Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, Travis Jones, DeMarvin Leal, Perrion Winfrey, Logan Hall, Eyioma Uwazurike, Matthew Butler, DJ Davidson, Thomas Booker, Eric Johnson, Otito Ogbonnia, Neil Farrell Jr., Haskell Garrett, Zach Carter, Chris Hinton, Marquan McCall and John Ridgeway
The further to the top left, the better. As is indicated by the green and red shading. As weight goes up, you tend to get slower 40 times. You can easily see how absurd the athleticism of Jordan Davis and Travis Jones is.
Every red dot is a prospect other than the traditional top prospects.
