Most Recent NFL Mock Draft

I’ve never been the biggest fan of Mock Drafts because I like to be right, and trades don’t allow that to happen. Nevertheless, the draft is just about here and I have a responsibility to get it out. So introducing: Mock Draft 3.1.

I decided to publish my 7 round mock draft this time around. Descriptions of the picks only provided for the first round. This mock draft took me roughly 14 hours to plan out.

Remember that these are not my 2024 player rankings, this is simply what I think will happen based on what I’ve heard and my knowledge of how these teams operate.

Here is the most recent 2024 NFL mock draft (Last updated 4/21/2024):

If you have comments, send us a message.

1. Chicago Bears

Caleb Williams, QB, USC

Easy choice for the Bears, which they really decided on months ago. Williams will be their QB of the future, and they’ve quietly done a really good job putting a team around him.

2. Washington Commanders

Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

While the public is split on Daniels or Maye here, the Commanders aren’t. They’ve heavily favored Daniels for months, and it would be shocking to see them change their minds.

3. Minnesota Vikings (Mock Trade)

Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina

NE > MIN: Pick 3 for pick 11, 23, a future 1st round pick, and a future late pick

The Vikings have tried to pretend they’re cool with Darnold for a season, but that’s just to ease trade negotiations. Vikings are desperate for a QB, and it’s basically a contractual obligation for GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. Drake Maye has been their #1 target all offseason.

4. Arizona Cardinals

Marvin Harrison, WR, Ohio State

The Cardinals claim they’re willing to trade down, but their asking price is unrealistic. That’s because they’re fully intent on taking Marvin Harrison Jr. They’re in desperate need for a receiver and get a generational talent.

5. Denver Broncos (Mock Trade)

JJ McCarthy, QB, Michigan

LAC > DEN: Pick 5 for the 12th pick, 121st pick, and future high picks

The Broncos desperately need a QB after ditching Russell Wilson, and they don’t want to miss out on one of the top QBs in the class. They move up to ensure the Giants don’t take him at 6.

6. New York Giants

Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

There’s a lot of talk about the Giants going QB, but that would be silly considering their Daniels Jones investment and massive needs at WR, RB, and TE. They have their choice of Nabers and Odunze at 6, and they’ll gladly take Nabers.

7. Tennessee Titans

Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

The Titans are a run-first team without an offensive line. That’s not going to win many games. Alt is an elite tackle prospect who should be a day 1 starter.

8. Atlanta Falcons

Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama

After giving a big contract to Kirk Cousins, Atlanta is feeling pretty good about their offense. No defensive players are off the board yet, so they get to choose their favorite. Dallas Turner has schematic versatility and massive potential as a pass rusher.

9. Indianapolis Colts (Mock Trade)

Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

CHI > IND: Pick 9 for picks 15, 82, 151, and a future late pick

Indianapolis liked what they saw from Anthony Richardson before his injury, and they want to continue putting him in the best position to succeed. They give up several picks to grab one of the best tight end prospects in recent memory.

10. New York Jets

Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

The Jets view Aaron Rodgers as their championship window. If that’s gonna happen, he needs all the pieces he can get. New York improved their o-line in free agency but would still consider it here before deciding they can’t miss out on a top tier pass catcher in Odunze.

11. New England Patriots (Previous Mock Trade)

Olu Fashanu, OT, Penn State

The Patriots traded down to collect more assets, and end up with an elite offensive tackle prospect. The Patriots need to address the OL and WR before they can successfully bring a QB along.

12. Jacksonville Jaguars (Previous Mock Trade)

Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU

The Chargers traded back, but now they know they still need to address receiver early after losing Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Brian Thomas has insane potential and could develop into a legitimate WR1.

13. Las Vegas Raiders

Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama

The Raiders want help at corner (as usual), and Terrion Arnold fits the personality you expect out of the silver and black. Arnold is a hard nosed run defender who also has good size and ball skills.

14. New Orleans Saints

Jared Verse, Edge, Florida State

The Saints need help in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Here they opt to go with Jared Verse, who they’ll have as one of the top defensive players on their personal draft board.

15. Chicago Bears (Previous Mock Trade)

Byron Murphy II, DT, Texas

After grabbing their QB first overall, the big need for Chicago became pass rush. They traded down and still landed the guy they wanted. Byron Murphy is super twitchy from the interior of the defensive line and should add a dangerous element to the Bears’ defense.

16. Seattle Seahawks

Troy Fautanu, G/T, Washington

The Seahawks have a big hole at left guard, and Fautanu can slide in there immediately. His strength, athletic ability, and positional flexibility make him a popular pick for Seattle.

17. Baltimore Ravens (Mock Trade)

Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

JAX > BAL: Pick 17 and 212 for picks 30 and 72

The Ravens consider right tackle to be their biggest need, and they really like the idea of having a MASSIVE tackle. Mims looks the part of a top 10 pick, he’s just lacking some of the experience. Baltimore feels he’s not making it anywhere close to them at 30. Get him in a well-run system like Baltimore and he’ll be a valuable asset.

18. Cincinnati Bengals

Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo

The Bengals have a few directions they could go with this pick, but they don’t want to miss out on the guy they consider the top cornerback in the draft.

19. Los Angeles Rams

Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA

The Rams could go quite a few ways with this pick. Ultimately they realize there are only 3 great edge rushers in this class, and Latu is one of them. He’s NFL-ready with an abundance of pass rush moves. If he passes the medicals he’s a surefire pick.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers

Graham Barton, C, Duke

The Steelers have slowly been revamping their o-line over recent years. They continue that process by grabbing a quick twitch lineman who they plan to transition from tackle to center.

21. Miami Dolphins

Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State

Offensive line is the biggest need for the Dolphins, particularly on the right side. Fuaga is a comfortable fit at right tackle or guard, and should be a day 1 upgrade for the dangerous Dolphins offense.

22. Philadelphia Eagles

Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa

The Eagles have long been linked to a cornerback, with needs at outside corner and a slot defender. Philly loves the versatility of Cooper DeJean with his ability to play inside or out. The Eagles run a zone-heavy secondary which DeJean is very familiar with.

23. New England Patriots (Previous Mock Trade)

Michael Penix Jr., QB, New England

The Patriots didn’t go with a QB at 11, but they’re content that Penix falls to them at 23. They love his potential and plan to sit him for a full year while they continue to gather assets around him.

24. Dallas Cowboys

Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma

The Cowboys need help at tackle, and Guyton’s athletic potential will be exactly what the Cowboys want. He’s as quick out of his stance as any 6’7″ 330 pounder you’ll ever see.

25. Green Bay Packers

Jackson Powers-Johnson, C, Oregon

The Packers need more bodies on the offensive line, and JPJ will allow them to keep Zach Tom at right tackle where he’s been very impressive. Powers-Johnson was the most effective pass protector in college football last year and always plays with a mean streak.

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Darius Robinson, EDGE, Missouri

A little birdy told me the Bucs love Darius Robinson. He excelled last year as a true defensive end, but can also kick inside or dominate as a 5-technique. His athletic traits gave him 1st round potential, but the production last year and his Senior Bowl performance made him a near lock.

27. Kansas City Chiefs (Mock Trade)

Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia

ARZ > KC: Pick 27 and 226 for picks 32, 131, and 221

The Chiefs jump ahead of their newfound rival Buffalo Bills, as both teams really need receiver help. Kansas City grabs the shifty Ladd McConkey, a team that some in the NFL has said “we can’t let KC have”.

28. Buffalo Bills

Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas

The Bills take a chance on a freak athlete at the receiver spot. Mitchell has the physical traits and highlight film of a top-15 pick, but inconsistency and personality questions drop him down. If the Bills can get some good structure around him, Mitchell has massive potential.

29. Detroit Lions

Chop Robinson, Edge, Penn State

Detroit has a great young roster being put together, with few massive needs. They go after the high-upside pick of Chop Robinson, who looks the part of a 1st round pick despite struggling this past season.

30. Jacksonville Jaguars

Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas

The Jaguars make it 7 receivers in the first round by taking the fastest player in combine history, Xavier Worthy. He’ll add a dynamic element to a receiver room that really needed one.

31. San Francisco 49ers

JC Latham, OT, Alabama

The 49ers could use an upgrade at right tackle, and they’re thrilled than Latham somehow slipped this far. The massive tackle prospect played in big time moments for Alabama and should be ready to step in early for a Super Bowl contender.

32. Arizona Cardinals (Previous Mock Trade)

Jer’Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois

Arizona needs a lot of help in their pass rush. There were only 3-4 good edge rushers in the entire class, so the focus shifts to Newton who provides a lot of pressure from the interior of the defensive line.
