Complete 7 Round Mock Draft – April 17, 2026

A more updated mock draft is now available. Click here to see it.

The NFL Draft is right around the corner, and it’s time to release our final 7-round mock draft of the season.

Now that the BNB Football prospect database has exceeded 4000 draft eligible players, and also includes team needs for every team, ranking their need on a scale of 1-10 for every position. With all this data, there’s no excuse not to put together the most in-depth 7-round mock draft around.

There are a few things to know before we dive into it.

First things first, this mock draft does include trades. Trades are noted in the trade details column for the first affected pick. You probably won’t like it when your team trades up, but that’s just how the NFL Draft works.

This is a predictive mock draft. There are plenty of players drafted early who I’m personally not a huge fan of, and plenty of undrafted players who I really think deserve to be drafted.

Team needs and historical trends were heavily considered. In fact, even after concluding our initial research of team needs, trends, and player grades, this mock draft still took over 25 hours to complete.

Let’s get into this. If you want to jump around, use the jump links immediately below to find the section you’re looking for.

1st Round | Full 7 Rounds | Picks by Team | By The Numbers | Notable Undrafted Players

1st Round Mock Explanations

1. Las Vegas Raiders: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

It’s no secret that the Raiders are in desperate need for a quarterback, and there’s only 1 quarterback with a legitimate claim to being the #1 overall pick. A no brainer suggestion for the Raiders, who bring in Fernando Mendoza fresh off his unlikely National Championship run with the Hoosiers.

2. New York Jets: David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech

The Jets would’ve loved to find a quarterback with this pick, but they’re fully aware that there isn’t one worth taking here. The Jets have plenty of needs, however, including a defensive unit that allowed the 2nd most points in the entire NFL last year. The pick ultimately comes down to David Bailey or Arvell Reese. They decide to select the player who is further along in his development to immediately bolster one of the worst pass rush groups in the league.

3. Arizona Cardinals: Arvell Reese, EDGE/LB, Arizona

Had Arvell Reese been the pick at #2 instead of David Bailey, the Cardinals likely would have gone offense line. But they are enamored with the versatility and limitless potential of Arvell Reese, who has the potential to completely alter a defense which has been in desperate need of an identity.

4. Tennessee Titans: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame

The Tennessee Titans have a ton of needs, but they can’t afford to skip on a skill position player in the 1st round. Cam Ward has very little help around him, and having an elite running back who can run, catch, or block will open a ton of opportunities for the Titans offense. Running back isn’t the top need for the Titans, but really every position on this team is worthy of improving, and there’s no other running back in the class who is even close to Love.

5. New York Giants: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State

Giants fans have been clambering for a wide receiver, but new coach John Harbaugh can’t resist the opportunity to add a culture-changing defensive player to a unit that was bottom-10 in the NFL last year in points allowed. Downs is an elite all-around player who has looked the part of a future NFL starter ever since his true freshman season, and has the ability to completely change a defense by himself.

6. Cleveland Browns: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

The Browns are desperate to trade out of the 6th pick, but we don’t think anyone will be able to agree on a price to move up given the lack of top-end talent in this draft. If they stick and pick they’re looking at a left tackle or a wide receiver, but no left tackle is worth the 6th pick. They take their choice of wide receiver by grabbing a stud in Carnell Tate, who the Browns will hope can establish himself as a true WR1 before drafting their quarterback in the future in the 2027 draft next year.

7. Washington Commanders: Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State

The Commanders don’t have many draft picks this year, but plenty of needs. They’ll need to hit on this pick, so grabbing the best player available is going to be their plan. That leaves either Sonny Styles or Rueben Bain, but ultimately Washington thinks their system will better highlight the talents of Sonny Styles.

8. New Orleans Saints: Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU

This is one of the biggest question marks in the 1st round. The Saints could easily decide to trade a corner like Delane, an edge rusher like Bain, or a wide receiver like Lemon or Tyson, who I had the Saints selecting in my last 7-round mock draft. Ultimately they see an opportunity to turn themselves into one of the best pass defenses in the league by adding in another stud corner to join their impressive young DB corps.

9. Kansas City Chiefs: Rueben Bain Jr., EDGE, Miami (FL)

Kansas City has considered a trade up, potentially as high as #3, but isn’t willing to part with as many assets as the Cardinals want. The Chiefs need to breathe some fresh life into their pass rush, and arguably the best player in the draft fell to them at #9. Bain would be a no brainer.

10. PROJECTED TRADE – New York Jets: Makai Lemon, WR, USC

Cincinnati trades the 10th pick and 72nd pick in the draft to the New York Jets for the 16th pick and 44th pick.

The Jets have claimed that they want to be in win-now mode, and that tells you they’re going to be aggressive in getting the players they want as they prepare to add a new young QB in the near future. Makai Lemon is an NFL-ready prospect with the feel, body control, and hands to be a consistent 100-catch guy at the next level. He and Garrett Wilson should give the Jets passing game a fighting chance in the short term, while also providing a much better long term outlook at the position.

11. Miami Dolphins: Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami (FL)

The Dolphins are in the sort of full-on tank mode that we rarely see in the NFL. They’re going into the draft looking for any potentially cornerstone pieces they can find, regardless of position, while also trying to obtain capital for the 2027 draft when they plan to get their quarterback. For this pick they’re going best available, and getting the best offensive lineman in the draft will set them up well for their future.

12. Dallas Cowboys: Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee

The Cowboys are a team to watch to potentially move up in the draft. After being unable to do so in this draft, it’s time for them to rebuild their defense which was one of the worst in the league the last couple years. It starts at corner, where the room fell off fast this past season. McCoy is coming off an injury, but his 2024 tape looked like what you’d expect from a surefire top-10 pick. Assuming they’re fine with his medicals, getting him at #12 will make the Cowboys very happy after moving on from Diggs.

13. Los Angeles Rams: Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia

The Rams want more help along the offensive line, especially at the right tackle spot. Monroe Freeling played both sides in college, and promise me when I tell you that he’s going to be drafted higher than people are currently saying. Freeling is a perfect fit for the Rams offensive scheme, and has plenty of traits to continue developing at the next level.

14. Baltimore Ravens: Olaivavega Ioane, G, Penn State

It feels like Ravens fans have been yelling for interior OL help for several years now, and this year the team can’t afford to pass on it. Both guards struggled last year, and 2 starters on the interior are free agents. Pick 14 is a bit early to draft an exclusively-interior offensive lineman, but Ioane is a legitimate 1st round talent who should be able to dominate from Day 1 at either guard spot.

15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon

Tampa Bay has a deeper roster than you’d expect from a team picking in the top 15, especially at some sought after positions like OL, DL, and WR. They would love to find an edge rusher that they like here, but I’m not convinced about Mesidor’s fit and injury history. They decide to pivot from that plan and take one of the most athletic tight ends in the NFL Combine history, Kenyon Sadiq. After losing Mike Evans, the Bucs are able to grab another big target while also being able to embrace more of the two tight end sets that NFL teams are trending towards.

16. PROJECTED TRADE – Cincinnati Bengals: Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami (FL)

Previous Mock Trade with the New York Jets.

The Bengals desperately need to revamp the defense. You could argue their top 6 biggest positional needs are all on the defensive side of the ball. As pressure from Joe Burrow mounts to compete now, the Bengals aren’t going to be scared away by the age of Akheem Mesidor. They need as many immediate impact pieces they can find, and edge has become a big need after losing Trey Hendrickson in free agency.

17. Detroit Lions: Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama

The Lions have really good depth at just about every position, but the offensive line took a big step back this past season. With Taylor Decker officially released, the Lions decide to take a swing on a boom-or-bust talent in Kadyn Proctor who has some of the best physical traits of any player in the draft, regardless of position.

18. Minnesota Vikings: Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon

Despite having one of the best pass defenses in the NFL this past season, Minnesota has a very old defensive backfield and minimal talent. They prefer to let Metellus roam around the defense as a big nickel, meaning their true safeties in the nickel are currently Theo Jackson and Jay Ward. Help is on the way in Thieneman, who was a dominant college player from Day 1 and has a ton of positional versatility for Brian Flores to take advantage of.

19. Carolina Panthers: Spencer Fano, OT, Utah

NFL teams are all over the place on Spencer Fano, with some too worried about the arm length to consider him a tackle and some too worried about his minimal power to consider him a guard. What he is, however, is a very good offensive lineman who can play a bit everywhere. Fano would have a chance to win a starting tackle or center role right away and help out a Panthers offense that’s still hoping Bryce Young can take that step forward.

20. Dallas Cowboys: Keldric Faulk, EDGE, Auburn

I can’t remember the last time the Cowboys had a good run defense. Luckily for them, Keldric Faulk is arguably the best run stopping edge in the class. Faulk is an athletic specimen who looks the part of an NFL talent, and will at bare minimum be a rotational 3rd edge rusher as a rookie while providing plenty of long term upside.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers: KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M

The Steelers recently added a 2nd good receiver in Michael Pittman, but that leaves them with 2 big receivers and no quick underneath targets. Whoever is throwing passes for the Steelers will need a shifty receiver to compliment them, and KC Concepcion can be exactly that. After starring as a gadget receiver as a true freshman, Concepcion blossomed into one of the most dominant receivers in college football. He would add a new dynamic to a Steelers offense who will be undergoing an identity change this season.

22. PROJECTED TRADE – New England Patriots: Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State

The Los Angeles Chargers trade the 22nd pick to the New England Patriots for the 31st, 95th, and 131st picks.

New England entered the draft with 11 draft picks and only a few true needs. They aren’t afraid to give up a premium to move up, and are able to grab Jordyn Tyson who they view as the top receiver in the draft. With Stefon Diggs on the way out, New England’s receiver corps is looking very light. Assuming the medicals check out on Tyson, he has everything NFL teams want in a wide receiver including elite body control, ball tracking, and athleticism.

23. Philadelphia Eagles: Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State

The Eagles love to draft in the trenches early, and Max Iheanachor feels like a Philadelphia Eagle as a slightly raw, twitchy athlete who is a bit of a late bloomer coming into his body. He’ll be molded into a Lane Johnson replacement at right tackle, and knowing the Eagles will probably be developed into a 10 year starter.

24. Cleveland Browns: Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah

The Browns entire strategy in the 2026 NFL Draft is to prepare themselves for their quarterback in 2027. After adding a wide receiver at pick 6, their next step is to add their franchise left tackle. Caleb Lomu is viewed by many NFL scouts as the best left tackle in the class, and it’s very rare for the top left tackle to still be around at pick 24. Cleveland will sprint this pick to the podium.

25. Chicago Bears: Peter Woods, DT, Clemson

I’m not as convinced as some others are that DT is a position of need for the Bears, but Peter Woods is a unique prospect who has shown flashes of a top-10 pick. If he can become more consistent, he could potentially be an early upgrade over an aging Grady Jarrett or Gervon Dexter. NFL teams are all over the place with their opinions of Woods, but there’s a reason why he was viewed as a top-10 pick entering the season.

26. Buffalo Bills: TJ Parker, EDGE, Clemson

The Bills aren’t convinced there’s a true #1 receiver left with the top 4 off the board, so they move on to their other big need of edge rusher, led by an aging Bradley Chubb with very little depth. TJ Parker was a top prospect entering the season, and despite not quite living up to expectations, he’s become an underrated prospect. Parker has all the traits you look for in a traits-heavy position, and is a perfect fit for the Bills scheme.

27. San Francisco 49ers: Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Indiana

San Francisco disagrees with Buffalo about Omar Cooper, who views him closer to Deebo Samuels rather than a Curtis Samuel. Omar Cooper is a very safe prospect who is elite after the catch, has phenomenal body control, and was part of the major cultural change at Indiana. Despite bringing in Mike Evans, the 49ers are still thin at receiver, and all their top receiving threats are old. They could desperately use a youth infusion at WR.

28. Houston Texans: Blake Miller, OT, Clemson

OL should be on the top of the mind of the Houston Texans as they enter a critical year in CJ Stroud’s career. Braden Smith is a decent option at tackle, but there’s been plenty of buzz about kicking him inside now that he’s getting older. It also wouldn’t be impossible to kick Ersery inside. Blake Miller can play on either side of the line, and has the rare size, coordination, and quickness to excel as a true offensive tackle. When you get a chance at a player like that, you take it and find a spot for him.

29. Kansas City Chiefs: Chris Johnson, CB, San Diego State

After obtaining this pick in the Trent McDuffie trade with the Rams, the Chiefs now desperately need to restock their corner room. Chris Johnson is a technically sound, very consistent corner who NFL teams are very high on. He was the highest graded corner in all of college football this past season by PFF, and has the traits and work ethic to continue that at the next level.

30. Miami Dolphins: Denzel Boston, WR, Washington

The Dolphins recently obtained this pick from the Broncos in the Jaylen Waddle trade, leaving them with an embarrassing receiver corps. As they prepare for their future QB, they need to get a starting caliber in the room as soon as possible. Boston has the chance to be that, offering plus-size and impressive hands that helped him to break out at Washington the past two seasons.

31. PROJECTED TRADE – Los Angeles Chargers: Chase Bisontis, G, Texas A&M

Previous Mock Trade with the New England Patriots.

The Chargers desperately want help along the interior offensive line. They weren’t afraid to trade back earlier because they expected they could still get their guy while netting two nice additional picks in compensation. Bisontis is a big time athlete at the guard spot with plenty of size and power to deal with big NFL D-Linemen. He can be a day 1 starter at left guard.

32. PROJECTED TRADE – Arizona Cardinals: Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama

The Seattle Seahawks trade the 32nd pick to the Arizona Cardinals for the 34th and 143rd picks in the draft.

With Jacoby Brissett now demanding more money, pressure is mounting even more for the Cardinals to make a long-term move at QB. Originally sitting at 34, they’d have to gamble that the Jets wouldn’t snag him with the next pick. But more importantly they feel the need to trade up to get the coveted 5th year option on Simpson’s contract. That’s fully worth a 5th round pick as they hand the keys to the Alabama QB who was dominant during the middle stretch of the season.

Results By Position

Going through a 7 round mock draft is always a good opportunity to learn how strong each position group is. Below is the number of players drafted in this mock draft by position group:

QB: 12
WR: 30
RB: 16
FB: 2
TE: 19
OT: 21
G: 18
C: 10
DT: 27
EDGE: 28
LB: 21
S: 22
CB: 28
K: 2
P: 1
LS: 0

Running back is notably a weak position this year. 16 would be the least drafted in a single year since before I started doing my spreadsheets, which was in 2012.

There were also a few less cornerbacks than normal, but not to the extent of the running back group.

Despite being nothing special at the top, tight end was a particularly strong group. This is partially due to some strong day 3 depth, but also because a lot of teams are going to copy the Seahawks multi tight end strategy and try to roster at least 4 tight ends next season. In the standard draft class only 14-15 tight ends are drafted.

Results By College

Below are the schools that produced the most draft picks in my 2026 7 Round Mock Draft:

Georgia: 9
Penn State: 8
Miami (FL): 8
Clemson: 8
Oklahoma: 7
Michigan: 7
Texas Tech: 6
Texas: 6
Notre Dame: 6
Missouri: 6
Iowa: 6
Florida: 6
Tennessee: 5
Kentucky: 5
Cincinnati: 5
