Representatives from all 32 NFL teams visited Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall in Athens, Georgia on March 18th to watch the top Georgia Bulldogs draft prospects participate in the annual Georgia Pro Day.
Among those that many scouts were watching was tight end Oscar Delp. Delp was one of the most highly touted tight ends in the country out of high school, and despite getting into the lineup early in his college career, he never really burst onto the scene as many expected him to.
Nevertheless, Delp has a legitimate chance to be a better NFL player than he was college player.
After deciding not to participate in athletic testing at the combine, scouts were eager to see his testing measurables at the Pro Day.
Delp didn’t disappoint, blazing a 4.49 40 yard dash while jumping 38″ in the vertical, along with a 125″ broad jump. He weighed in at a respectable 245 pounds.
The 40 time goes a long way for Delp. In what’s considered a tight end class with great depth but a major lack of top end talent, Delp has elevated himself firmly into the top 3 rounds of the draft.
BNB Football has collected verified Pro Day and NFL Combine 40 yard dashes from 126 tight ends. Of those 126, Oscar Delp ranks 2nd fastest. His vertical and broad jump also were good enough for the top 10% of the draft class.
After Pro Days, here’s how Delp stacks up with the fastest tight ends in the 2026 NFL Draft:
| Name | College | HT | WT | 40YD | 10YD | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kenyon Sadiq | Oregon | 6’3″ | 241 | 4.39 | 1.54 | Combine |
| Oscar Delp | Georgia | 6’5″ | 245 | 4.49 | 1.61 | Pro Day |
| Eli Stowers | Vanderbilt | 6’4″ | 239 | 4.51 | 1.59 | Combine |
| RJ Maryland | SMU | 6’4″ | 236 | 4.51 | 1.64 | Combine |
| Heinrich Haarberg | Nebraska | 6’4″ | 237 | 4.55 | 1.62 | Pro Day |
| Matthew Hibner | SMU | 6’4″ | 251 | 4.57 | 1.61 | Combine |
| Jackson Canaan | San Jose State | 6’2″ | 230 | 4.58 | 1.65 | Pro Day |
| Evan Svoboda | Wyoming | 6’5″ | 248 | 4.59 | 1.60 | Pro Day |
| John Michael Gyllenborg | Wyoming | 6’6″ | 249 | 4.60 | 1.60 | Combine |
| Otto Tia | Utah | 6’3″ | 215 | 4.60 | 1.55 | Pro Day |
Delp’s combination of athleticism, blocking, hands, and experience currently make him my 3rd ranked tight end in the 2026 NFL Draft, only behind Kenyon Sadiq and Eli Stowers.
