Complete 7 Round Mock Draft – April 22, 2026

The NFL Draft is right around the corner, and it’s time to release our actually final 7-round mock draft of the season. We said that about a week ago, but that was a day before the Dexter Lawrence trade shook up the top 10 and dramatically altered the draft needs of 2 teams. We couldn’t resist redoing it last minute.

Now that the BNB Football prospect database has exceeded 4000 draft eligible players, and also includes team needs for every team, ranking their need on a scale of 1-10 for every position. With all this data, there’s no excuse not to put together the most in-depth 7-round mock draft around.

There are a few things to know before we dive into it.

First things first, this mock draft does include trades. Trades are noted in the trade details column for the first affected pick. You probably won’t like it when your team trades up, but that’s just how the NFL Draft works.

This is a predictive mock draft. There are plenty of players drafted early who I’m personally not a huge fan of, and plenty of undrafted players who I really think deserve to be drafted.

Team needs and historical trends were heavily considered. In fact, even after concluding our initial research of team needs, trends, and player grades, this mock draft still took over 25 hours to complete.

Let’s get into this. If you want to jump around, use the jump links immediately below to find the section you’re looking for.

1st Round | Full 7 Rounds | Picks by Team | By The Numbers | Notable Undrafted Players

1st Round Mock Explanations

1. Las Vegas Raiders: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

It’s no secret that the Raiders are in desperate need for a quarterback, and there’s only 1 quarterback with a legitimate claim to being the #1 overall pick. A no brainer suggestion for the Raiders, who bring in Fernando Mendoza fresh off his unlikely National Championship run with the Hoosiers.

2. New York Jets: David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech

The Jets would’ve loved to find a quarterback with this pick, but they’re fully aware that there isn’t one worth taking here. The Jets have plenty of needs, however, including a defensive unit that allowed the 2nd most points in the entire NFL last year. The pick ultimately comes down to David Bailey or Arvell Reese. They decide to select the player who is further along in his development to immediately bolster one of the worst pass rush groups in the league.

3. PROJECTED TRADE – Kansas City Chiefs: Arvell Reese, EDGE/LB, Arizona

Arizona trades the 3rd pick in the draft to the Kansas City Chiefs for the 9th, 40th, and 169th pick.

The Cardinals would be plenty will to stay here and draft Arvell Reese or Jeremiyah Love, but the Chiefs come calling with a big trade offer. For Kansas City, they aren’t used to drafting in the top 10. The opportunity to move up into the top 5 for a legitimate blue chip talent while still possessing the 29th overall pick is hard for them to resist. Reese has an insanely high ceiling with the ability to play on or off the ball.

4. Tennessee Titans: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame

The Tennessee Titans have a ton of needs, but they can’t afford to skip on a skill position player in the 1st round. Cam Ward has very little help around him, and having an elite running back who can run, catch, or block will open a ton of opportunities for the Titans offense. Running back isn’t the top need for the Titans, but really every position on this team is worthy of improving, and there’s no other running back in the class who is even close to Love.

5. New York Giants: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State

Giants fans have been clambering for a wide receiver, but new coach John Harbaugh can’t resist the opportunity to add a culture-changing defensive player to a unit that was bottom-10 in the NFL last year in points allowed. Downs is an elite all-around player who has looked the part of a future NFL starter ever since his true freshman season, and has the ability to completely change a defense by himself.

6. PROJECTED TRADE – Dallas Cowboys: Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State

Cleveland trades the 6th and 39th picks in the draft to the Dallas Cowboys for the 12th and 20th picks.

The Browns move back 6 spots now in order to move up 19 spots in the near future and gain a 2nd pick on Thursday. The Cowboys are in search of a potential culture-changer on the defensive side of the ball, and Styles has the rare skill and athleticism to do that. He’s ready to contribute at a high level now, but also has the insanely high ceiling to continue improving.

7. Washington Commanders: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

The Commanders don’t have many draft picks this year, but plenty of needs. There’s a lot of angles they could go with this pick, but they are enamored with Carnell Tate. Terry McLaurin is a great WR, but he’ll be turning 31 in the first month of the season, and there’s nothing in the WR room next to him. If he goes down, they’re cooked. Tate is a great route runner who plays faster than his 40 and shows the body control you expect of a 1st round WR>

8. New Orleans Saints: Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State

This is one of the biggest question marks in the 1st round. The Saints could easily decide to trade a corner like Delane, an edge rusher like Bain, or a wide receiver like Lemon or Tyson. Recent intel suggests the Saints really like Tyson, and I agree with that assessment. Tyson has been my #1 wide receiver in the 2026 class ever since last April, he’s never moved down to WR2 or WR3. He’ll be a massive upgrade for the Saints receiving corps as they try to give plenty of weapons to Tyler Shough following his solid rookie year.

9. PROJECTED TRADE – Arizona Cardinals: Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami (FL)

Previous Mock Trade with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The dream scenario for the Cardinals in this draft was to move back, accumulate more picks, and still wind up with Francis Mauigoa, who was their top ranked OL in the draft. Mauigoa has an elite combination of size, strength, and quickness to become a long term stalwart at the right tackle spot across from Paris Johnson.

10. New York Giants: Olaivavega Ioane, G, Penn State

Giants fans aren’t going to like this. When the Giants obtained the 10th overall pick for Dexter Lawrence a few days ago, fans were excited they could get a great defensive player (Caleb Downs drafted 5th) and a top WR. But Coach Harbaugh is the one calling the shots this year, and he likes the trenches. A WR room of Nabers-Slayton-Mooney is at least average in the NFL, while an interior OL of Runyan-Schmitz-Faalele is well below average. Ioane is going to be a stud for a long time and immediately help out that O-Line.

11. PROJECTED TRADE – Detroit Lions: Rueben Bain Jr., EDGE, Miami (FL)

Miami trades the 11th pick in the draft to the Detroit Lions for the 17th pick, 128th pick, and a future 2nd round pick.

This is the big surprise of the mock. Rueben Bain fell this far, and the Dolphins are very interested in picking up 2027 draft capital to help them secure a QB next year. Lions GM Brad Holmes has proven he isn’t afraid of big 1st round moves, and the opportunity to add an elite edge rusher across from Aidan Hutchinson was too much to resist. Bain is potentially the best defensive player in the class, and a future 2nd is totally worth moving up for him.

12. PROJECTED TRADE – Cleveland Browns: Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia

Previous Mock Trade with the Dallas Cowboys.

The Browns are currently looking at the underachieving and often-injured Dawand Jones as their starting left tackle for 2026, and that’s not gonna cut it. It’s hard to get a left tackle late in the draft, so they want to get the guy they think is the best in the class. Freeling is still coming into his own, with all the traits necessary to dominate the NFL. The Browns get their left tackle of the future.

13. Los Angeles Rams: Makai Lemon, WR, USC

The Rams have a couple of spots they could go with this pick, but it’s going to be awfully hard to resist Makai Lemon. When you turn on the film, Lemon just feels like a Rams receiver. He’s a versatile piece who can move around the field and does all the little things. The Rams will have a deep, elite WR room in 2026 before Lemon fully takes over as WR2 the following year.

14. Baltimore Ravens: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon

After missing out on Ioane, the Ravens will have to keep waiting to improve the interior of their offensive line, something they’ve been wanting for a very long time now. But they also lost a key offensive weapon in Isaiah Likely, and Mark Andrews isn’t getting younger. It will be awfully hard for Baltimore to pass up an elite athlete like Sadiq to add yet another speed dimension to their offense.

15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami (FL)

Tampa Bay has a deeper roster than you’d expect from a team picking in the top 15, especially at some sought after positions like OL, DL, and WR. They would love to add an edge rusher or linebacker in this spot, but will look to trade down if they can. A team below is interested in jumping up to 15 for Delane, but nothing materializes. Tampa sticks and takes their top edge rusher, Akheem Mesidor. Mesidor is an older prospect, but should be able to be a day 1 start who can help Tampa reclaim the NFC South.

16. New York Jets: Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU

This is a dream scenario for the Jets. After somehow managing to finish last season with ZERO interceptions as a team, the top corner in the draft falls to them at 16. There’s no one else they’d even consider with this pick, they’re sprinting that card to the podium.

17. PROJECTED TRADE – Miami Dolphins: Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama

Previous Mock Trade with the Detroit Lions.

After trading down and adding a nice 2027 draft pick, Miami is ready to take their pick. They have needs literally everywhere other than running back, and decide to take a swing on a prospect with a very high ceiling. Kadyn Proctor has some of the freakiest traits in the class, there simply aren’t many humans in the world at his size with feet as quick as his. He’s still raw, but the Dolphins don’t care in he’s good in 2026. They just want him to be good in 2027. Let him learn for a year, and you have a chance to have an All-World talent.

18. Minnesota Vikings: Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon

Despite having one of the best pass defenses in the NFL this past season, Minnesota has a very old defensive backfield and minimal talent. They prefer to let Metellus roam around the defense as a big nickel, meaning their true safeties in the nickel are currently Theo Jackson and Jay Ward. Help is on the way in Thieneman, who was a dominant college player from Day 1 and has a ton of positional versatility for Brian Flores to take advantage of.

19. Carolina Panthers: Spencer Fano, OT, Utah

NFL teams are all over the place on Spencer Fano, with some too worried about the arm length to consider him a tackle and some too worried about his minimal power to consider him a guard. What he is, however, is a very good offensive lineman who can play a bit everywhere. Fano would have a chance to win a starting tackle or center role right away and help out a Panthers offense that’s still hoping Bryce Young can take that step forward.

20. PROJECTED TRADE – Cleveland Browns: KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M

Previous Mock Trade with the Dallas Cowboys.

The Browns grabbed an offensive lineman earlier, and now they need to add a legitimate receiving threat. Concepcion is an incredibly dangerous weapon who dominated from the 1st moment he stepped on an NCAA field. He expects his jump to the NFL to be similar, and he’s a great compliment to the existing pieces they have like Jerry Jeudy and Cedric Tillman.

21. PROJECTED TRADE – Buffalo Bills: Keldric Faulk, EDGE, Auburn

Pittsburgh trades the 21st pick in the draft to the Buffalo Bills for the 26th pick and a future 2nd round pick.

The Bills are just a couple pieces away from being a Super Bowl winner. With all the elite receivers off the board, their focus turns solely to the edge rusher spot. I’m not the biggest fan of Faulk, but considering how NFL teams talk about him, it would be a shock to see him drop this far. Buffalo decides he’s close enough to go make a move and get him, jumping 5 spots to improve their run defense and pass rush.

22. Los Angeles Chargers: Chase Bisontis, G, Texas A&M

Chase Bisontis is another player that NFL teams love, and it would be very surprising to see him slip out of the first. The Chargers are currently set to run out Trevor Penning and Cole Strange as their starting tackles this year, and that’s not going to work very well. Guard is a massive priority, and Bisontis has the athleticism, strength, and toughness to excel in their system for the next decade.

23. Philadelphia Eagles: Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State

The Eagles love to draft in the trenches early, and Max Iheanachor feels like a Philadelphia Eagle as a slightly raw, twitchy athlete who is a bit of a late bloomer coming into his body. He’ll be molded into a Lane Johnson replacement at right tackle, and knowing the Eagles will probably be developed into a 10 year starter.

24. Cleveland Browns: Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee

With the 3rd of their 3 first round picks following the Dallas trade, the Browns are looking to solidify the defense with a corner or an edge across from Myles Garrett. They think Colton Hood is the best of those two positions available. Hood is an ascending prospect who is considered a top-15 talent by multiple teams, the Browns being one of them. They will love his toughness, quick hips, and work ethic.

25. Chicago Bears: Peter Woods, DT, Clemson

I’m not as convinced as some others are that DT is a position of need for the Bears, but Peter Woods is a unique prospect who has shown flashes of a top-10 pick. If he can become more consistent, he could potentially be an early upgrade over an aging Grady Jarrett or Gervon Dexter. NFL teams are all over the place with their opinions of Woods, but there’s a reason why he was viewed as a top-10 pick entering the season.

26. PROJECTED TRADE – Pittsburgh Steelers: Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Indiana

Previous Mock Trade with the Buffalo Bills.

The Steelers got a very nice offer from the Bills to move down, and they were happy to do so. Despite adding Michael Pittman in free agency, the Steelers could still look to add to the WR room with adynamic underneath target. Cooper is elite after the catch and can be used as a gadget guy until Pittman or DK move on in 2027, at which time he can move into his full time outside receiver role.

27. San Francisco 49ers: Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah

San Francisco has been thinking about offensive tackle for years, with Trent Williams nearing 40 years old. Lomu can move around the line for the next year or two before taking over down the road. Lomu is a big time athlete with smooth feet and good hands, giving him the very high ceiling you’d need to have to be Williams’ heir apparent.

28. Houston Texans: Blake Miller, OT, Clemson

OL should be on the top of the mind of the Houston Texans as they enter a critical year in CJ Stroud’s career. Braden Smith is a decent option at tackle, but there’s been plenty of buzz about kicking him inside now that he’s getting older. It also wouldn’t be impossible to kick Ersery inside. Blake Miller can play on either side of the line, and has the rare size, coordination, and quickness to excel as a true offensive tackle. When you get a chance at a player like that, you take it and find a spot for him.

29. Kansas City Chiefs: Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee

After obtaining this pick in the Trent McDuffie trade with the Rams, the Chiefs now desperately need to restock their corner room. Jermod McCoy has a big injury question mark, but his 2024 tape is arguably better than anyone in the defensive draft class. For what it’s worth, the injury red flags reportedly aren’t the ACL that he previously injured, meaning it should lower his stock but not totally take him off boards. The Chiefs aren’t afraid to wait a little bit if need be, knowing the long term potential.

30. Miami Dolphins: Denzel Boston, WR, Washington

The Dolphins recently obtained this pick from the Broncos in the Jaylen Waddle trade, leaving them with an embarrassing receiver corps. As they prepare for their future QB, they need to get a starting caliber in the room as soon as possible. Boston has the chance to be that, offering plus-size and impressive hands that helped him to break out at Washington the past two seasons.

31. New England Patriots: TJ Parker, EDGE, Clemson

The Patriots don’t have too many needs, but their 35 team sacks last year finished in the bottom quarter of the league. Getting some pass rush juice is the first thing on their mind, and TJ Parker is an intriguing prospect. Parker opened the season as a top-5 prospect in the entire draft class, with prototypical size and athletic traits. The season was a bit mediocre for him, but you can still see the flashes of high first round talent. Add in some counter moves and help him rush with more of a plan, and Parker could really be something.

32. PROJECTED TRADE – Arizona Cardinals: Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama

The Seattle Seahawks trade the 32nd pick to the Arizona Cardinals for the 34th and 143rd picks in the draft.

With Jacoby Brissett now demanding more money, pressure is mounting even more for the Cardinals to make a long-term move at QB. Originally sitting at 34, they’d have to gamble that the Jets wouldn’t snag him with the next pick. But more importantly they feel the need to trade up to get the coveted 5th year option on Simpson’s contract. That’s fully worth a 5th round pick as they hand the keys to the Alabama QB who was dominant during the middle stretch of the season.

Results By Position

Going through a 7 round mock draft is always a good opportunity to learn how strong each position group is. Below is the number of players drafted in this mock draft by position group:

QB: 12
WR: 30
RB: 15
FB: 2
TE: 18
OT: 21
G: 18
C: 10
DT: 28
EDGE: 28
LB: 21
S: 22
CB: 29
K: 2
P: 1
LS: 0

Running back is notably a weak position this year. 16 would be the least drafted in a single year since before I started doing my spreadsheets, which was in 2012.

There were also a few less cornerbacks than normal, but not to the extent of the running back group.

Despite being nothing special at the top, tight end was a particularly strong group. This is partially due to some strong day 3 depth, but also because a lot of teams are going to copy the Seahawks multi tight end strategy and try to roster at least 4 tight ends next season. In the standard draft class only 14-15 tight ends are drafted.

Results By College

Below are the schools that produced the most draft picks in my 2026 7 Round Mock Draft:

Texas A&M: 11
Ohio State: 10
Alabama: 10
Oregon: 9
Indiana: 9
Georgia: 9
Penn State: 8
Miami (FL): 8
Clemson: 8
Oklahoma: 7
Michigan: 7
Texas Tech: 6
Texas: 6
Notre Dame: 6
Missouri: 6
Iowa: 6
Florida: 6
Washington: 5
Tennessee: 5
Kentucky: 5
Cincinnati: 5
